This Scrub plane is the first that we use when making furniture entirely by hand. Its mouth is wide enough to allow big wood shavings and it has a big curvature on the blade edge. Its main function is the fast elimination of wood for the dimensioning of parts that make up the furniture.
This model is made of quarter sawn beech and it has a bed angle of 45º. It incorporates a A2 steel blade from Lie Nielsen toolworks. Finish with oil of linseed.
If you want a unique and special piece of furniture
We will talk about the design, the woods, the details or any other aspect of the piece that you would like to incorporate, as it is this relationship with the customer which marks the difference of handcrafted furniture vs serial made ones.
My goal when making a piece of furniture is that both the client and I enjoy the process.
